    Hello All,

I am looking for the handle that attaches to the frame under the seat on the left side, used to pull the bike up on the centerstand. Does anyone know where I might be able to locate one?

    Thanks for any help.

Your best bet will be member Andreas Weiss (look in the 'parts for sale' forum), but you do know that grab bar was only fitted to the '78/79 standard bikes. It will fit other models but only if the original grab rail is missing and/or you don't have a rack/sissy bar/hard bags mounted...

          Yes there is....

You can see where it's mounted here: http://www.xs11.com/xs11-info/ads-br...-brochure.html

It's on the left side of the bike, is 'J' shaped, and attaches to the upper shock mount and the frame. Many have disappeared because they've gotten removed when owners have fitted accessories that also attach to the upper shock mount and the handle usually interferes with them...

Save those front turn signals. Those mounting brackets for the standards are rare.

Seconding saving the front signals and mounts.. My 78 had the "ears" thank goodness but nothing else. I was able to buy a headlight with bucket off the forums, but simply cannot locate front turn signals. Someone fitted a fairing and removed all that stuff. Made up some turn signals with amber marker lights and some flat stock. lol.. Keeping my eyes open for a clean looking set of universals on FleaBay.

Save ALL those parts folks! I have a box labelled XS11 PARTS. Everything gets tossed in there. I just added my old oil drain plug tonight as I finally got that fixed.

I never knew about the J handle.. Ill keep my eyes open for one now.

What is a good price for a kickstarter?? I saw one of eBay last week for $50.
                    1) Fire up Internet Explorer
                    2) http://www.yahoo.com
                    3) type "www.mapquest.com" into the Yahoo search page.
                    4) go about day as VP managing multi-million dollar financial contracts.

They are known as a 'lift handle'. They are indeed rare. I found a NOS one in the USA and paid $80 for it. I sold a used one for $60 or so.

No other lift handle will fit. If you see one from an XS850 or XS750, don't buy it. It won't fit correctly and the proper one is noticeably different....
XS1100F 1980 European model. Standard. Dyna coils. Iridium plugs. XS750 final drive (sometimes). Micron fork brace. Progressive front springs. Geezer regulator/rectifier. Stainless 4 into 2 exhaust. Auto CCT (Venturer 1300) SOLD. New project now on the go. 1980 European model.

It's not the turn signals that are hard to find, you can still buy new repops of them. It is the mounts for the standard front signals that are rare.

Yeah Nate, it's the mounts. You got my fronts over a year ago.
Now My fairing is broke and I had to switch back to a headlight and turn signals.
Luckily, I found a set of full front signals on ebay and got them dirt cheap.
I plan on keeping them even when I switch back to a fairing.
