APE pods best for the money

I've ordered at least half dozen sets of the "005-121" filters , in last 15-20 years; no comparison from others I've ordered from other suppliers. K&N would be the only comparable, in quality; but high $ .

On the same note, has anyone had problems with stock K&N replacement filters? I purchased one a while back and it has since shrunk 1/4 inch. Some of my car filters have done the same. They do replace them for free but its just a pain. Curious to see if anyone has gone through this.

I have had a k&n shrink like that before. It is a pretty easy no questions asked return policy though.

I have to admit that I can get caught up in name brands even with added costs. But I pulled the trigger on these because of fellow members quality praises and I feel it better matches the color scheme of the bike, keeps it looking classy not sporty like the red ones.

The red color on the filter is the dye in the K+N oil, the filter is usually gray. They come pre-oiled when new so it will be red the first time until you wash it.

pods falling off

I found that the answer to the pods falling off to begin with, is to reuse the original clamps and not the wider ones that come with the pods.
