    Pulser Coils?

    Well I have a clearly damaged pulser coil, which I'm assuming is the reason behind my stumble when accelerating. I'm having a hard time tracking a new pair down. A lot of the old websites that people used a few years back have since stopping selling them.

    If anyone knows where to find a set I would greatly appreciate it.

    Also I found some on a sketchy site for around $250, I hope this isn't my only option.

    Im guess im confused on the turn pulser coils. Whwn i googled it it showed up as a vaccum advance. So im assumeing pulser is the name brand of the coils...u have a " stock" set of working coils if u want 20 bux plus shipping. On the stumbleing issue check the PICK up wire on tue left side cover those seem to be a weak point

      I'm refering to the pick up coils. Are you saying that you have a set of brand new ones?

        You may find that the damage is only on the wires from the pickup coil. Stretch the wires and see if you can see the outer insulation go thin....like an hourglass. This is a common problem with the pickup wires on teh XS11 and well documented here on the forum.
        XS1100F 1980 European model. Standard. Dyna coils. Iridium plugs. XS750 final drive (sometimes). Micron fork brace. Progressive front springs. Geezer regulator/rectifier. Stainless 4 into 2 exhaust. Auto CCT (Venturer 1300) SOLD. New project now on the go. 1980 European model.

          Yeah, I read up on all of that a few days ago and did the test but the wires seem to be intact. The bottom most coil looks to have been heated from the inside or something and kind of melted on one of the corners. Not to mention it failed the ohm test.

          I'm really just looking for a new set if anyone knows where I can get some. Thanks.

            Dang.... I just gave a spare set away...

              Haha, always a day late. It's ok, I did some more digging and found that the previous owner tried to fix the wires but did a really poor job so I'm gonna try and do it right. Hopefully it will make some sort of difference.

                i just ordered a set of 3 ohm accel coils off ebay, dennis kirk sells them for 208 but i think a brand new pair is 170 or so on ebay. comes with all the mounting hardware and everything. if your just looking for the stock set i'll be removing mine so pm me if you want them.

                  Thanks but I'm looking for pick up coils, they're rather small and are located under the left-side ignition cover.
