    Sometimes 4....got a tci from a member and isnt that...maybe the pickup wires on the left side? Any input?

    Wouldn't have expected the TCI to cause intermittent stuff like that, it would usually be hard fail, but what you describe sounds a LOT like the pickup coil type problem which is pretty much always two or four cylinders.

      Have you had a look under the timing cover? I had been trying to upgrade my carbs with a dynojet kit. Must have had them off half a dozen times swapping out jets, and it was still running crappy, so I went back to what I started with, and still ran like crap. Turns out the screws that hold the pick-up coil assembly on the engine had come out, and the whole pick up coil assembly was just flopping around under the cover. Don't put anti-seize on those screws when you put them back in there :/

        my coils are dyna and were new.....i guess i can try to put on the stock coils..
