OK, so as I understand it, I start by synching 3 and 4, then 1 and 2 then, using the middle synch screw, synch 1/2 with 3/4. Is that right? My Carbtune Pro dosen't need calibrating so I can skip this step it would seem.

I want to Pete but he's already told me that vacuum synchronising isn't necessary so I can't convince him I have a problem. I have a small hole in header pipe No.2 and he says this is why the revs are slow to come down and that the carbys are perfect. I've got the synchroniser on the bike as we speak, all I need to know is how to operate the bloody thing. I don't suppose you feel like a ride to Ryde do you?

Job done. Problem solved. Thanks to Pete, what a champion! It's easy once you see it done, thanks mate. I'll change those plugs in the morning and let you know if there's any difference. The ride home was outstanding, plenty of power throughout the range, no missing, no popping on deceleration, smooth as silk through every gear. I was so comfortable and relaxed I took time to notice heads turning, I forgot how good the bike looks, been too worried about what will go wrong next. It's such a relief, thanks so much. Thanks to everyone who responded as well, it's a great group.

                      Dan,
Still an idiot, but who cares with friends like you.

Yep, thems the ones I got...and thanks for reminding me, I need to hook the stereo back up. I'll do a better job this time, I found a power source among those wires you mentioned behind the ignition key area so I wont have to run a wire back to the accessory terminals under the seat. It's been a great day, wins all round.
