  • Testing tachometer output

Hi guys, bike runs awesome only thing is I broke my old tach which was working
and got another off ebay and put the new one on and it doesn't work.

I don't seem to have any output going into the new tach, wondering how to
test the bikes output to the tach...?

Tach not working is a sign that your charging system isn't working. Tach gets it's signal from one of the three legs of the stator. Check your charging system.

Thanks DAVINCI it's true, my headlight doesn't get brighter
whith RPM like it used to. My charging system needs inspection. Which may start me asking questions about that. It's on with the charging system.... booyah thanks

Check the wire connecting clip behind the fuse fanel. It is the one with 4 whites or 3 whites and one yellow wire. This is a known source of those types of problems.
