    Butterfly screws

Can Loc-tite be used on butterfly screws or do they absolutely need to be peened? I just picked up some stainless replacement screws for mine. And if do need to be peened, how do I go about doing that?

    Thanks
    Nate

    Rtv

I am about to do the same to mine and I have been told by some of the gurus here RTV is fine but they told me to use blue as red may not allow removal without drilling.

Yeah I just did some more searching. Found a lot of the same. Blue works just fine.

      Thanks.

Locktite blue is the proper way to secure these fasteners. I know it was stated, but I'll reinforce it.
