I'm thinking one of my mufflers is plugged, its all welded together so I doubt I'm going to be able to clean it out. Looking for affordable replacements and just wondering if anyone has any experience with emgo brand mufflers? Or the ones from mikes xs (which I think are probably emgo)? Looks like I can get them for 60 or 70 bucks each...

I believe trbig has a set of those on his SH, not sure though you'll have to ask.
If they are they look good. They are louder than stock and the packing for the baffle that comes with is no good so you'll need to get some better stuff.
Here's a pic of what they look like on the bike.........

Picked these Ermgo's up at JC Whitney. They look fine, price is ok, but I don't like how they sound but that's due to no crossover. The bike sounds much choppier than my XJ with factory pipes. I'm still looking for factory pipes for the bike and really only need 1 right XJ muffler. As soon as I find them these will be off. The head pipes on this bike are XJ's with an adaptor I made from Stainless to slip into the XJ collector and clamp the new pipe over. If crossovers are not your thing these are fine and look something like originals, sort of. I actually have the seat grab bar on now so its not nekid.

Not sure on the XS pipes but on the XJ mufflers its definitely part of the muffler.1970? Honda Z50... gone

It's all about the size of the tube!
I read in your signature:

Stock air box/K&N Filter, MAC 4-2 exhaust, Bad-Boy Air horn, TC fuse box, Windshield, Soft bags, Vetter Fairing, Blinkers->Run/Turn/Brake Lights, Headlight Modulator, hard wire GPS power
On mine, the Mac collector outlet is bigger than stock.
Measure yours and see what your diameter is.
Any replacement mufflers need to have the same inlet size, otherwise your wasting money and you'll have to modify the collector to make them fit.
You could probably email MikeXS or even ERMGO directly and ask what the inlet diameters are.Hi, my name is George & I'm a twisty addict!

My Macs are 2.25"
If the ERMGOs are 1.75", then you could probably get a slip on adaptor easily enough.Hi, my name is George & I'm a twisty addict!
