      Hey there Bruce,

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your bike! You just tried the wire swap with no change. Keep the wires swapped for the next part!

Don't forget to swap the spark plugs now, and see if the #3 plug will start firing in the #2 hole, and if the known good firing #2 plug will fire or NOT in the #3 hole. IF #3 still isn't firing and #2 DOES fire, then you have eliminated the spark and plugs as the problem, and can feel more confident about diving back into the carbs.

BUT if #3 Does start firing and #2 runs cool, then you have found a bad spark plug!!

Yeah, I had an old turbo'd 4 cyl T-bird and the honeycomb in the muffler broke all up and clogged the exhaust, wouldn't run at all!

        Been awhile TC

Been awhile TC, 09 rally I believe...we'll meet again.....about the bike....had carbs out a 3rd time and set up a spare carb for #3 cylinder ( meticulously)...this is not a carb issue, anyway, its a rainy day here in Nova Scotia and I thought why not... one thing I've noticed TC is that theres some flame coming back in the #3 syncing hose(clear plastic) as I still have the gauges hooked up to the bike which may mean timing or valves out of time its the only cylinder that does it.....#3 does fires a slight amount, as the exhaust header has some heat there.....so I have crossed wires and plugs and thats all good ,compression I got today was 145 on a warm engine on #3...Dont know whats next, timing, for sure, I've had the exhausts off looking for carbon or dead squirrels in the headers....I kinda think allthough the compression is up its not hauling the fuel into the cylinder at the right time...the fuel is there thats for sure, the spark is there and thats for sure...man if I were broke down on a hiway I'd be in a pickle.....

Anyway TC hope we meet up again at a rally. I heard a rumor may be a rally in Lake Placid in 2014...I'm up for that....you heard anything?

As far as my bike, hopefully I can get it runnin by then!
