FWIW, I think those are XS650 badges just like my drilled badges in the photo in post#3.
The peeling remnants of my genuine XS11 tank badges show the gold letters outlined by a thin black line which the XS650 badges don't have.
Your badges are stick-ons so the differences in letter style and fastener spacing plain ol' don't matter
unless you are totally anal about absolute authenticity but then you wouldn't want stick-ons, right?
For those who have filled in the badge pockets, don't give a hoot about authenticity, are cheap like me but would still like a Yamaha logo on their tank
there is an alternative:- A ~2" diameter x ~1/8" thick soft plastic peel'n'stick logo with the 3 tuning fork symbol on it.
~$5 each at your local Yamaha store.Last edited by fredintoon; 07-26-2012, 11:59 AM.Fred Hill, S'toon

Exact Match for Venturer
but the ones I have pictured in the
last post on previous page are an exact match to the originals which I have off the tank and are able to check for any differances and there are none (height, width, depth, and length). My stock Venturer emblems had solid gold lettering with black background and no black outline of the gold...So the ones I posted are exactly the same as the originals I took off my tank...
FWIW...the listing I posted with the link to is all sold out...so if you wanted the deal that I posted, you slept too long...:Last edited by tv5150; 08-03-2012, 02:05 PM.Current Rides:

For some of you that don't mind having silver tank emblems, they make one for a golf cart that will work. The only problems are that they are flat, so you either have to bend them around your tank and screw them down or take a hair dryer and heat them up enough to where they can be bent and will stay there. I have an old tank I lay them on and do this. If you just bend them and screw them down, you'll probably only get about a season out of them before the plastic cracks, but for the price, (@ $5 ea) it's no big deal. Also note.. that the mounting holes are extremely close, but not quite. You can just install them and screw them down, but a tiny bit of sanding to the outside of one of the screw holes makes them fit perfect. Yamaha part # JN6-F4161-01 I usually order several at a time and you can check your local Yammy shop. They can probably match this price.. mine did.
Here's one place that has them, but you can shop for others.
