Removing Air Box and fitting single filters on the carbs

    On all pod filter conversions I have done I have used silicon hose as a velocity stack. I think it was 54mm id. Don't quote me on that. Get whatever the carb inlet is for the hose. I used 3" long hoses. HPS makes nice ones. Then get pod filters that fit over the hoses. Should be 60mm filters. The reason for the velocity stacks is that they reduce turbulence caused by the transition from filter to carb.

    You then drill some 1/4" holes into the middle two hoses. Install two high pressure valve stems. The metal ones, with a threaded shaft and nut. Be sure to remove the core first. You can then plug the vent hoses right into the cores in the center hoses. If you end up switching to '80 carbs for some reason, you can just screw on the valve stem caps.
