I Haven't been around here in a while, but just bought a hacked up 11. I still have my Kingpin, but have been wanting another XS to play with. So I found this pile of parts on CL. The guy wanted $200 for it.I got it for $150. I am going to find another beater XS11 and fix one up. I want to find a good frame. Maybe I'll find someone to buy this frame. It came with an out of state title. I figure just the tank and carbs are worth a couple hundred bucks, and the motor seems to have compression. So, it's a starting point. I ran across a pic of my old 80 Special a couple days ago. I wish I would have kept it.lol. My Buddy in Denver still has it so maybe I'll get it back at some point....[IMG][/IMG].

Well what the heck at least it looks like it was an interesting project to the guy who was building it. There's probably some other good pieces there too just have to take the time to inventory what you ended up with.Even a blind monkey gets the odd banana.

are you guys just kicking sand again? I'm sure whoever dreamt such tom foolery had no idea how important it is to not tread on the good name of the XS pedigree lest he would find himself tool and torchless lost in a harley dealership buying a hard tail something or other with that ridiculous rear fender already on it. Punishment for cutting up a good bike is not necessary I know if he wanted to have fun on arts and crafts day he could've picked on something elseEven a blind monkey gets the odd banana.

Then there are the ones that start with a bike that probably wasn't far from running, but cut things up before getting things working, then try to get it to work and have no idea if it's what they did or if it was toast before they started, which is why many of us tell them to get it running and on the road FIRST, then customize, cause at least then if it don't run when they get done they know it's something they did, cause they know it ran when they started.Cy

not a parts bike if it's got it's papers, eh? Unless there's bodgery been done that don't show in the photo that frame is definitely salvageable.
Not back to what it was but the swingarm looks like it could be freed up to work again at least.
Crop the seat stays back and bend up the lower stays to Tee across them and then bend them back to hold the top of shorty shocks.
Then fit a real low seat and sell it to one of the short guys who post about reducing the XS11's seat height.Fred Hill, S'toon
