I just replaced the bearings in the front hub. Before I put the speedometer drive dog in I have a question. Mine is cupped or concaved enough to almost hit the bearing. Should I flatten this drive dog?

Hey Bart,
From what I can see of the microfiche, it appears to be FLAT, so if it's gotten curved, then you may need to gently flatten it. I've not taken mine apart, so I can't speak from personal experience with this part, just know that the tangs can get bent when the drive gets installed wrong! Hopefully someone will chime in with more definitive info!

The inner ring with the drive tabs (left in photo) is flat, the outer ring (center in photo) has a recess to fit down towards the inner drive ring. The rubber seal (right in photo) keeps everything held in place.
