Yet another TCI/Ign/Rec-Reg asylum patient
All,
New to forum, have low mi. 1979 XS1100SF, owned since 1981, but it has been mostly in storage (for over 15 years), but been riding it for last few
years. Now, NO SPARK, and am engaged in similar battle on the electrical
diagnosis front. It's heartening to see others are/have struggled with these
issues. Need to get my machine ON THE ROAD.
More info to follow, but giving everyone a heads-up that I am about to
perform similar tests with the TCI, and other components. Pin-Out diagram
is helpful. Although my problem may or may not be the TCI, I ended up buying one from Ebay yesterday, as I plan to own/drive this machine for a long time to come. So, it will be good to have a known working TCI for future use.
Electrical read-outs to come in the next few days... would appreciate your
inputs.
Regards,
Fred
