  • Where does the gearbox vent go?

    1978 standard

Now with the airbox going back togetther I have lost this memory.

]The tube comes up from the middle of the gearbox and has an oblong funny shaped metal clip with a hole in it to be bolted somewhere. Can't remeber where the clip goes or where the tube goes on the airbox.

I clips to the top of the airbox mount. The open "U" faces up and to the left. The tab on the right holds the wire bundle down.

I can't help you with the photo. I gave you that from memory. I'm in a hotel room far from my bike.

Can't do a pic but let me try and describe it more.

The airbox has a bracket bolted to it and it hangs on a tab that is on the frame. Then there should be another flat metal price bolted onto the frame tab in.the same spot. One end should have a little u hook on it. That is where the vent hose goes, and just stays open.to atmospheric air.

see, my metal tab is on the tube and not the frame, so I was wondering where should I bolt it down...
