Fairing Swap?

I have a 1977 XS750 that came with a fairing and hard bags. I also have a 1982 XJ1100. It looks as though the fairing and bags will transfer to the XJ if I fab a new support bracket. Has anyone out there done that? Riding in Alaska is a bit chilly at times and getting the wind off my chest is fairly appealing. I would also consider any windshield ideas. Using what I have seems like a good idea if it will work.

You should be able to find a mouonting bracket for an xs11 on fleabay, they pop up now and then.

I have a good friend who lives in Anchorage. He rides a Yamaha V-twin though.

for the most part fairings are universal, it is just the mounts that are model specific. XS's and XJ's use the same mount so peruse fleabay for a xs mount.

Would help if you knew what kind of fairing you have though first. Depending on the fairing it may need a specific mount.
