    Greetings all,

Once again, thanks to all with their valuable insights as I attempted to cure the electrical demons with the beast. It is running good now, but who knows when it may decide to mess with me again! I'm sure it is doing this on purpose just to mess with me!

Leads to the next need - had the bike out yesterday for a ride - ran perfectly! That was the good part. The bad part is that when I got home, I saw that the right side panel decided to jump off somewhere. I've been out looking over the area twice - no joy. Sigh...

Given that - anybody any leads on a side cover for a 79 F standard?

    Any leads appreciated!

    Keith

    I've got one.

You can have it for $25.00 + shipping. PM if interested.
I just sold a really good pair to Nate Moen. I'll have to look at this one to see what it needs. I'm sure it needs some repair.

If you end up getting that cover from Tom, you're gonna need a new grommet to keep it on there.

Stock number for a 79 standard right side lower grommet is: 90480-01401-00
I've found these at a few sites.

        Site:.............Part#:..............Price:.............Link:
        MikesXS............02-6505.........4.50/pair.........http://www.mikesxs.net/search.html?q=02-6505

Of course others will chime in here and give their 2 cents as to the pros and cons of all 5 of these sites. I've only used BikeBandit at this point, but may shop elsewhere. (I think Boats.net may be the lowest shipping)

Thanks George. When I get a replacement cover, I'll most definitely need one! Hope Tom finds the one he has.
