While I was brainstorming to help figure out his issues, I went back and read some of his old threads.
Just last year he checked his pick up wires and they were fine then, but I agree maybe he should check them again.

I do believe from reading the older threads, he may have a different set of carbs in there (other than XS), but he had the bike running okay before all this, so that probably is a non issue.

I checked my pickup wires the other day. I was in there to adjust my cct, figured id look overthe wires while at it. The carbs ended up being the original stock ones GLowe, I was just over thinking that whole deal, but it got sorted out. I like the centerstand idea, ill try that soon. I'm trailering the bike to arkansas riht now. Hopefully I can get it fixed tonight so I dont miss a ride tomorrow.

          Hey Aaron,

Hope you are able to check the site while at your rally destination.

Not able to take any load is a sign that it's running on 2 cylinders not 4. In neutral it can rev just fine. Run it for a few minutes and then spritz the pipes and see which ones are NOT sizzling? If 1-2 or 3-4 then it's carbs, if 1-4 or 2-3 it's ignition and you need to check your wiring a bit more to ensure that you are getting spark from all 4 plugs....TCI PU wire repairs can and have failed before.... . Make sure both plug coils are getting POWER, and if they ARE sparking....they can sometimes spark when laying on the head, but once under compression they can be weak and not fire properly? JAT!

Good Luck! Hope you get it figured out and get to ride! The plug caps and spark plugs won't have any type of affect on firing if you don't have much resistance...it's mostly for radio frequency interference reduction.

Well, I was hoping my bandids would be enough for one ride. But it was not to be. I knew better. Anyways, soon as I get home I'm gonna order some new coils and carb boots. No more bull****ting around. Fix it right the first time, right guys? Thanks for the help, y'all.

              Aaron,

Does the bike stop running when you take it out of neutral, as if the shift lever is a kill switch? Or, does it die when you let out the clutch?
