  • speedo/tach lights

Both the speedo and the tach do not light up. I checked the voltage where the bulbs go and it is .25V... the same light bulbs in the center console are between 10-12V. I checked all the wiring in the head lamp and it seems fine, what else can I check?

First question, is the bike running? If not, then the headlight relay hasn't picked up and you'd get no headlight or dash lights. The bulbs for the center don't get power from the lighting circuit.
If your headlight is on, then I'd check the Connections in the headlight bucket.
Here's a pic of the simple wiring of the light circuit.
