At the end of last year's season I noticed small spots of oil under my bike and realized oil was dripping off the wire going to the oil level switch. I finally got around to pulling the switch out of the pan today, here's a picture:

I don't think oil was seeping from around the switch's o-ring because it was pretty hard to remove the switch from the pan. I cleaned the switch up good with carb cleaner and wiped it dry. If you look closely at the picture you'll see the bottom of the "red part" in the center of the switch is shiny. I've wiped it dry a couple more times today and liquid keeps leaking out. It appears that maybe the oil is seeping out from between the housing and the "red part."
Any ideas as to how best to seal this up?? I really hate oil dripping from something, even if it is a 30 year old motorcycle!
Thanks for the help!
