xs exaust

there was a brand new exaust on ebay but the muffler was sepperate from the down pipes,i asked the seller if it was a brand new yamaha one he said it was,did yamaha sell them brand new in two parts.i thought only the inside pipes came of the system.

i have had a 78E since new
i have put 3 complete exhaust on it
and the muffler is 1 piece right up to the motor
on the outer pipe
alot of people cut them down and put on slip ons
to save money

there is a guy at merrium cycle
that sells a reconditioned stock exhaust, but last time i called
it was over 900 dollars

but if you could find a new one at a dealer
the selling price is about 975.00

why so much

I bought the black box of that guy on ebayand just had to phone him up to find out what else he had.
miracles do happen .....he also still had the primary coils,so i got them as well........
I got the lot for 120 delivered which i reckon aint that bad.
I'd like to help you out with an exhaust but mine got a bit mangled in the great crash.
i'm now running straight through stainless so you can imagine the sound
OH yes mate leics is somewhat central and ive got a bit garden so howsabout rounding up the uk owners and having our own little do in the summer
