"What they do have is an implacable, unrelenting presence and movement that bespeaks massive power lurking behind paint and chrome. They don't wail like a screeching ninja, the don't rumble like a harley. They just growl like a spactic, stressed out badger waiting to rip your face off and eat your soul." Trainzz~RIP~
I finally took her for a real ride today, rode about 60 miles with no problems. I have decided to name him "Picky". The guy that owned it before me was a good freind of mine since '92 and his nickname was Picky, most people didnt even know his real name was Clarence. Anyway since i have noticed a lot of people naming their bikes and I was wanting to do something with this bike in memory of Picky I thought "Hey, I could name him Picky". I am sure I will have this bike forever, I love it and only have $540 total in it and it has a little over 12 thousand miles. I just need to synch the carbs now and fix the tach and I will be done. Well, I dont think we are ever done.

2007 RoadStar 1700 Midnight Silverado "The Black Pearl" Cobra Slash-downs, K&N filter. More mods to come
It didnt take me long at all Tom. I actually could have been riding it the day after i got it but it wasnt legal. I knew the bike and knew it would run and was well taken care of, after all it was Picky's bike and he was anal about stuff. But, the last couple of years with the cancer so bad he couldnt do anything with any of his vehicles, they all sat and werent run. Hey ddragon, your "old man" was probably the biggest influence on me naming my bike. I know your dad looks down every day with a smile!

Hey tom, I love the mufflers, i dont really know what they are but the sound really good. When you let off the gas going down hill they pop off a litte, not a lot but i am not synched yet either and that may be why. I really dont like the popping off but everyone around here loves the sound of my bike.

Yeah the exhaust note on these 1100's is something else, even stock they have a good sound to them. Your bike looks pretty nice in the out of doors, and the dodge short box in the back round is a nice touch for a mopar guy like me.
Even a blind monkey gets the odd banana.
1979 XS 1100 special (been down the PO trail and it was messy)
Thanks for the compliments guys, I probably have about 250 miles on it now and love it. I just cant wait to get synched. Its funny how when I got on this bike for the first time when i rolled on the throttle a little it scared the crap out of me, my 750 doesnt have near the acceleration this does, but the longer i ride it the more i am getting into the throttle and wanting more. By the way, I just bought the dodge about 3 months ago and it has the 4.7 magnum, I am trading it in on a 4 door hemi. With 4 doors, 4 more miles to the gallon and almost 200 horsepower more, i think i will def take the hemi!
