Hey there BikeBoy,
I am guessing that you were referring to your MODIFICATIONS thread, cause I saw your picture you posted in it. Once a thread has been inactive it slowly drifts back as newer ones are posted until it eventually falls off the main first page of threads. As you have found, once you find it by searching, and then post a new reply to it, it then becomes active again, and jumps back to the front main page for all to see and be aware of the "NEW" post!!!
Some of the others may NOT be aware of this, and so they tend to post NEW subjects/threads instead of searching for possible older threads where what they are looking for or want to talk about MAY HAVE ALREADY been discussed. But some folks have what they think are specific problems and questions about their bike, and so they would prefer to post a new thread, instead of tagging their problem onto an old one that might not be exactly related to their problem!?
