I have a bad diaphram on one of my 78/79 carbs. Anyone have a source for replacement. The one listed in the repair thread from JBM industries is not available.

          Watch for the custom

charges. When I ordered $13 fork seals from Denis Kirk, I got a bill in the mail from UPS about a week later demanding $43.00 for customs and duty charges.

            customs charges

I do some importing from the US and also had issues with UPS over their border charges. Fortunately I am just a few kms from the border so I have my US stuff sent to a drop centre just over the US border. Freight charges are MUCH less and I do my own clearance when coming back into Canada. If you ahve access to this process (ie. close to the border) it is the way to go.

Or just make sure the shipper uses USPS. They can get stuff over the border for MUCH cheaper than UPS charges.

Is it mandatory to superglue the replacements in place? I read one of the slip on products rotate on the slide. Is super glue gas proof?

The reply I got was "I don't have anymore of these instock but hopefully I will receive a few more next week and I will see what can I get for you..thanks. Rob". So it is a waiting game until they get some. Hopefully they will remember and set aside some for me.

                    Diaphrams

got looking through my pile of junk parts yesterday and I have eight that need replacement. Think he would give a deal if we buy volume? Also are these the ones that need to be glued or the snap in ones?

Mack if you click on the link in my first reply it will show you the rubber diaphragms he has. You need 8, I can use 4, and Rooster needs 3 or 4 so in all that would be 4 complete sets. When he gets back to me I will see about a volume discount, but in any case we should save by paying shipping. He will send USPS so no suprises for brokerage. His shipping for one set is 25 bucks so if he combined shipping it would be a $75 saving.

Jeez, for the volume you guys are ordering, maybe you should just order from whatever factory is making the stuff...might get a dealers discount at those numbers!

If I knew where he was getting them I would try that. Then I could be a dealer for the whole site. Not thinking he will give up that info though, and I do not have a clue who one would approach.

Lol, I am sure you are right. Speaking of dealers...did anyone from here pick up the Bob Jones garage stash?
