im looking for a new set of coils on my 81'H, the coils are getting weak and wires getting short. all other ignition parts are original..im reading alot of guys are getting them off mikesxs.com, so the green ones Part #17-6810 and the ultimate high output coils Part #17-6903, are they my only two options on this site? not much price difference but there is a lack of info on the black ultimates. whats your guys opinion on these two coils given my situation. or is there another good place to get something that'll work for me? i would like to get somewhere around a 3 ohm coil

so when looking for the coils, they are all basically universal and will work on the bike so long as they are dual output 3ohm? without any messin around with wiring? as far as how they bolt up wont be an issue for me, but just want to make sure i dont end up fryin something

+1 on the Dyna coils. With a good set of wires (I use Accel 8.8mm stainless wires) they will knock you on your a$$. They plug right in but remove the ballast resistor (if your machine has one).Mike Giroir

Once you un-can a can of worms, the only way to re-can them is with a bigger can.
