Hey guy's, I have what might be a silly question, but how do you know what model an xs 1100 is, such as the letter's after...(xs 1100sh xs 1100 sg) and so forth. Just wondering which one mine actually is. thank's Warfman41

    Look here.... http://www.xs11.com/faqs/153-serial-...ry-colors.html

The first three letters/numbers give the year/model. It's always a good idea to check both the frame neck and motor to make sure what you have as there are some differences when it's time to get parts.

Yep, a 2H7 would be a 'standard'. The '78-79 bikes have numerous differences compared to the '80-81 bikes, some major, some minor, as well as differences between standard and 'special' models. If you have any suspicion that the bike has been modified or parts have been swapped, do some further checking here before getting parts.

Good luck! These are great bikes when everything is right, and this is the place to get them that way!
