  • 3H5-25834-00-00 Brake rotor lock washer

I have my wheels off the bike and rotors off so everything gets painted. When I took the rotors off the tabs broke off the 3H5-25834-00-00 lock clips. I wasn't too concerned as I figured I would just get new ones to go with the paint job. I didn't gorilla them off, just drove the tabs down far enough to remove, as easily as they broke off I'd guess they've been off before. Who wants broken off tabs on their freshly painted wheels/rotors right?

Best price I can find is 6.60 @ boats.net for a total of $39.60 to do the bike. 39.60 for stamped out sheetmetal parts? I just bought some Honda brake hose retainers that were 10.00 ea but at least they had formed wire parts welded to small sheet metal parts, that seemed a little more reasonable.

Anyway I'm probably putting it back together with a drop or 2 of locktite plus standard lockwasher per bolt instead. Don't mind buying parts but 7.00 for a stamped sheetmetal part? Aside from the mfg liability of loose brake parts I'm guessing the rotors are hard enough that lock washers may not bite well, just using them so that the the paint isn't chewed up like a hex head bolt does. Anyone have any other ideas?

I'm just using regular split type lock washers on mine. They work just fine.
