If you copy the IMG code from the dropdown when you hover on the pic on photobucket and past it in your post the pics will show up.

Maybe for a garage stand instead of a centre stand. Like Sport bikes use.

Hi Tom That is what I am thinking too. That Gremlin bell needs to be further forward on the bike too or the gremlins will get him.

I'm pretty sure it would have been for a trailer towing frame~~often home made frame~~center stand is removed for these two "front attach spots" for the tow-bar/frame/hitch.

I don't think they are home made they are machined one still has a cap on the end and the outside has a diamond cut pattern all around and punched hole through 3/8ths from the end for a pin and they had a chrome finish

                  Bell moved forward

That makes sense. It would account for the holes too.......pins.

I've known of three different riders that have made the their own hitch for towing, over the last 20+ years; done on three different motorcycles. They're always sad to have to part with the centerstand when doing this. Much better setup for towing and overall stability and handling, than "store-bought".

Could have been the forward mounts for one of those bolt-on 'trike' kits...
