I have been looking all over to get new emblems for my 79 xs11 special. does anyone have a good idea where i could get some. i need both for the tank and side covers.

The good news is they're available and arguably better than OEM.
You need 2 ea YT03 @ $47.50 each and 2 ea YS 26 @ 47.50 each. You might have to go with YT 11 on the tank to get the proper size.
More good news! The price includes shipping!
Be advised these are metal and don't fit exactly as the originals. You either install them with emblem tape or drill & tap some new holes.
IMHO, the Mike's XS badges are too small for the XS11 tank. If you want it right, you need big ones.Marty (in Mississippi)
