  • Carb tee & search function

I know BIKERPHIL recently posted a repair for the carburetor tees. I've been trying to find that post and I've had no luck. I expect that will be moved to the repair section soon enough. As it stands, I'm afraid I don't know how to use the search function very well.

I would also like to point out that there are options to Phil's repair. (not that you'll need them)

1J7-14988-00-00 PIPE,STARTER CON is still available from the dealer, if your pockets are deep. That part fits the '78 & '79 XS1100. I found it for as cheap as about $35 ea! (2 are required)

3H3-14988-00-00 PIPE,STARTER CON is NLA. (no longer available) That is the tee for the '80 & '81 XS1100, and also the XJ1100.

I had to fix or replace mine before Phil posted his repair. I'm not nearly as clever as he is, so I went elsewhere.

I found my replacements at Sirius Consolidated, Inc. They are superior parts @ $19 ea.

I looked at Mike's XS, but the XS650 tee is not a match for the XS1100.

The top one is for the earlier bikes.

Well, I'm sitting in a hotel room in the middle of Texas, with not much to do. You folks keep me company. That, and I really like this stuff.
