Anybody got '79 Std side covers?

Help!. I need a set of decent ( no cracks ) '79 Standard side covers. Don't need the emblems, though. Anybody out there got 'em?

There's lots of demand for sidecovers, but unfortunately, not as much supply. I'm sure you know what that means.

Your best bet is probably going to be Ebay. For example, there's a listing there now for a right-hand sidecover for an '81. If you use Ebay's advanced search tool to browse closed auctions, you'll get an idea of recent selling prices. Again, you may want to be sitting down when you do this.

Randy, I have a 79 special I am using as an organ doner. Have complete bike, let me know if you need any other parts. Going to go check on the covers to make sure they are in good shape.

I have a set. I will have to go home and confirm that they fit the 79 though.
I know that they are from a Standard and not the Special. I have found tho, that the differant years had a combination of differant holes. (some round, some slotted) in fact. wasn't there a model that had round on one side and slotted on the other, or am I dreaming??

Thanks to everyone who offered to help, I just got a cherry set off of Ebay for $86. Steep, but considering the condition and that they have the emblems attached, it's not such a bad deal. Better than running with both fly's open!. Now I'm just a few sprays away form glory.
