Got my 79SF with about 18900 and now have 21000. Thats about 18 months of ownership. Runs great. Hope it stays that way.

My xj has 33000 miles. Runs great leaks a little oil but I can live with it till winter so I can fix it right.

about 7900, hoping to get it rebuilt in time to put on some serious miles this summer though.1979 xs special, just finished the top end rebuild and then i still have lots of work.

after reading all the miles u guys have logged, my Blk Beauty Mutt (combo
78E and 81SH) seems like a pup. bought mine in 96 with 8,800mi sat in storage for 15yrs after logging approx 5K, now back on the road with 14,400 so far. engine tight, no leaks and runs fantastic after some badly needed attention. no road trips as of yet.Max

Bought my 81 Special in 2002 with 9,000 miles , now at 53,475. That will be it for awhile sounds like I have a spun rod bearing.
My Vmax is getting all my attention these days, but will get er back up and running, moving in another motor.

27654 miles I got it new 1980 G model.To fix the problem one should not make more assumptions than the minimum needed.
