    Got my 79SF with about 18900 and now have 21000. Thats about 18 months of ownership. Runs great. Hope it stays that way.

      my 80 sg has 54,00 kms! bought it 5 years ago with 32,000 kms,, older i get the less i ride hoping to change that this year as it may be my last year riding ride safe... slow mo!

        My xj has 33000 miles. Runs great leaks a little oil but I can live with it till winter so I can fix it right.

          about 7900, hoping to get it rebuilt in time to put on some serious miles this summer though.
          1979 xs special, just finished the top end rebuild and then i still have lots of work.
          progress thus far...

            after reading all the miles u guys have logged, my Blk Beauty Mutt (combo
            78E and 81SH) seems like a pup. bought mine in 96 with 8,800mi sat in storage for 15yrs after logging approx 5K, now back on the road with 14,400 so far. engine tight, no leaks and runs fantastic after some badly needed attention. no road trips as of yet.

                Bought my 81 Special in 2002 with 9,000 miles , now at 53,475. That will be it for awhile sounds like I have a spun rod bearing.
                My Vmax is getting all my attention these days, but will get er back up and running, moving in another motor.

                  About 90,000 miles now with orignal engine and transmission parts. Had 22,000 when I got it in 1990

                        My SF sat for 5 years at a hair over 41K before I rescued her 3 months ago. Now she's up to 42,500 and running beautifully.

                        I just pulled the tires off night before last...rear was 9 years old and the front was almost 11!
                        My Special is as old as I am.

                            27654 miles I got it new 1980 G model.
                            To fix the problem one should not make more assumptions than the minimum needed.
