I think mine were made by Emgo. They have an adaptor clamp and an outer clamp. Once you put them on it deforms the clamp to where they are difficult to remove. I used a strip of innertube rubber to help them with the grip, or they would rotate...

Down to one 1978 E. Stock air box with K&N filter, 81H pipes and carbs, 8500 feet elevation.
I just drilled and tapped a hole in my bars and clamps and put a ss screw in to keep them from rotating. I couldn't tighten them enough to stop rotation. Mebbe the pad was not thick enough, but I wanted insurance.

on the Kuryakyan site and they have a few that have 1 " clamps. Anyone had any experience with their clamp's. How do they hold, or do they just spin around the tube when you put your foot on them?

Kuryakyan products are some of the best quality out there. Particularly the chrome. They put on extra layers so they last for a very long time. They are pretty much the brand name of accessories. At least in my "groups" opinion.
I have highway pegs build by mc industries for a verago and I put them right on the bolts to the motor mounts and it's perfect it looks a lot better than the clip on ones. Im sorry but I don't know how to do pics yet.
