  • Old Dog Learns New Trick

I finally got my carbs back on my 79SF this week after doing a re-build and thorough cleaning. My 1st attempt in my 60 yrs to open a carb up, but I "finally" did what had to be done and with the help found on this board got it all back together and to my total surprise, it started on the first bump of the starter when I hit it. Took it for a ride and it ran like it was 1979 all over again.
A BIG THANKS to all here who have contributed to the knowledge found here. This site ROCKS!!!

Congrats on your hard work and perseverance!! We all started at that same point at some time, for me a pultry 3 or so years ago. So glad the info heped you out like it has me!

There is no feeling like tackling that job that seemed so difficult, thinking your done but worrying you messed it up some how, and then getting it all together. Even better yet, when it works so well!! Awesome job!!
Life is what happens while your planning everything else!
