    Your memory likely serves you well DGXSER. My H Venturer's original motor has the adjusment slot along with the wheel being degreed + and -. The same year/model replacement that is only 83 in production numbers later has the slots filled and no degreed wheel.......think by that time of production several got 'mixed' interchangable parts, as my Venturer new also came with the MNS gold tops on carbs.

      Oh great,

      Yet another fine detail difference to keep track of and watch out for, like the bastardized 80 carbs and pilot jet caps/tunnel or not!

      Sorry Don, guess we were both right according to Motoman's info, since the 4RO was a 1 year production, if they had left over 80 timing plates they had to use them all up before putting in the filled in ones!
