I thought I had a spare dimmer in my parts stash for a friend but when we looked all we could find was one broken one.
I'm not one to give up easily so cleaned up the broken part and applied some industrial epoxy I use on the reg/rec units I make. Anyway so far the repair seems to be as strong as the original but I haven't sanded it down to the original thickness yet.
I've also used this stuff to fix the broken locking tab on a left side cover. It's as strong or stronger than original but I set it aside before I could get it carved into a shape that would lock in place. Since it's a spare, it may be a long while before I get back to it.
