    Head geometry question

    Howdy,

    Does anybody know the valve inclination, in degrees, either from vertical, or from horizontal to the head parting surfaces?
    I am making a dial indicator holder, and hate to take my head apart to measure the shim face angle. That would require taking the cams out, and I REALLY don't want to do that.
    Any help, anyone?

      Dont know the angle of the valves but here is what I use. Simple aluminum plate with several holes to hold the adjustable dial indicator arm.

      Once you un-can a can of worms, the only way to re-can them is with a bigger can.

          Neat setup. How long is the extension on the DI? MSC has one that is 1.3 inches long, small diameter
          I'm trying to make one that bolts down to the cam cover lip, and can be used while the engine is in the frame.
