What I know that could help your decision Airborne, is that these brakes can use all the upgrading you can give them. I know my bike slows down twice as quick by downshifting than by braking. And yes, the poor braking can cost you alot, I have the scars to prove it.

So even if it is only a small improvement it is worth it of you have the funds and the time.
