When I was in Washington (Seattle/Port Angeles) it rained almost all the time and in the summer hardly ever got above 75º. I have to admit there are some great roads there. Especially up on the Olympic Peninsula.

I've lived in Oklahoma/Texas for more than 20 years and I've never actually seen a tornado. Have seen a snake or two though.

The thing I like here is it's warm 9 out of 12 months. I grew up in Montana and always HATED winters. Y'all can keep the snow and rain and gloom.

The peninsula is not the part of the state where you want to live if you don't like rain... after all, it does have the only Rain Forest in the continental US (Washington has a number of unique features). For that part of the state, a two month riding season is about right...

My mother never got over her fear/hate of snakes; she was sudden death on even the poor local harmless ones...

I live in SW Washington (Portland, OR metro area) and I'm going out for a ride in a bit... hasn't rained since 6 last night road are dry! as for a 2 month riding season.... I ride years round between rain storms! They make this stuff called riding gear, it keeps you warm.....Pick a Hwy into the Cascade Mountains and you can't go wrong! unless your from a flat state, the sudden change in altitude might make you lite headed

Yeah, I'm going for a ride too. It's 70º here and dry as a bone. I'll go look for a hill or 2.

well its a dry as a sponge here and the on-ramp to get on I-5 from Ridgefield Is taller than any hill you can find in OK

I spent some time on the plains out in OK as a kid trying to play cowboy... beautiful country. But I missed fir trees and mountains real quick... Then I got married and had kids, I should have stayed on the plains

Tulsa is in the east/northeast part of Ok. In the rolling hills just west of the Ozarks. It ain't totally flat but there is certainly no mountains.

Moved here to get away from wives and kids. They found me anyway.
