  • The project in pictures as of this morning

    Hey Fellas,

So I got some pics to share of the progress as of last night and this morning. waiting for the tire shop to open so I can go get the new skins put on.

Enjoy.... any questions or comments will be excepted and the properly replied too

my buddy Calvin in the background trying to figure out how to adjust my throttle lock...

    torn apart

drive splines in desperate need of grease

front tire born on date 29th week of 01

rear tire born on date 19 week of 02

other than glaze the pad's didn't look too bad. but for $50 it was worth replacing with new while in there

first coat of plasti-dip.... yes I cheated! I left them on the bike and I used acid brushes and the dip can of plasti-coat and brushed it on. Worked great gonna put a second coat on today

Those external cracks in the boots isn't really a problem. The dip may just make them LOOK patched.

THIS is a really good price on new boots the only drawback is shipping time from Canaidia.

none of the cracks go thru the boot... they're just external. for the 7 bucks it cost for the paint and the free acid brushes from work, it was worth the 20 minutes to coat them to keep them from getting and larger. Atleast that was my thought.

That's why I say the external cracks aren't really a problem. Just thought I'd let you know about the others. $75 is a whole lot better than $110.

When you are in that far, might as well pop the final drive off and clean and regrease the driveshaft splines.

Not knocking them at all but I've never seen their like before now.

                      Fred,

they are custom cover's dad had made to cover the Samsonite suitcase luggage to match the seat.... You'd think an Old timer like you would appreciate diamond tuck upholstery. Maybe they didn't have that stuff in Canadia back when the horses still pulled the carts?! LMAO!

I still have a custom Sheep fur seat cover Dad had made in Yellowstone to keep him from burning his legs after the bike had set for a while too... I only "Brake" it out for special occasions. Sorry I'm being a "Heal" LMAO Let me you know when your lights get there Fred.. they haven't made it back to me yet.

gotta go people are looking @ me funny!
