    Interesting post lately from Pat Kelly. Did make a point . Tweaking refers to fine-tuning or adjusting a complex system, usually an electronic device. Tweaks are any small modifications intended to improve a system.

    Not to be confused with how to sync,, but this was about pilot circuits and the mixture port is part of it.

      Damn gremlins!!!

      Ok, well I got this problem sorted out, and now it's on to a new problem.

      #1 Cylinder problem : So I took the carbs apart, and cleaned the idle port. It was clogged. I had to put it on hold, but when i got the bike put back together, got the carbs synched, and damn it ran better. No backfiring on deceleration, alot peppier, it idled to running temp quicker, just an overall better running bike. I now need to completely go through the carbs. Now its on to a whole new set of gremlins.... ah... new post...... One would think that you track down enough of these they would eventually all be gone...
      79 XS11 special "Loki" - homemade 4-2 exhaust, pod filters, rebuilt forks with progressive springs, tkat fork brace, progressive shocks, rebuilt all brakes and MC's, rebuilt carbs with #142.5 main and #42.5 pilot, a custom front and chin fairing, and a handmade set of saddlebags....
