  • Spica restore part 4

Well almost done. Front end, bars and controls are all thats left. Uppers on the forks are in terrible shape so I'm shutting down the project until I can find replacements. sorry about the picture quality, It's hard to get a contrast with everything black. I don't think I'm going to put the emblems on the airbox or side covers. If you have to ask what it is then those emblems will mean nothing anyway.I will put them on the tank though. I know you guys/gals like pictures so here you go.

            Modified

Yes Marty, with much shame I admit I have modified her. TC's fuse block, Geezers regulator, TKat's fork brace, SS brake lines, and all the proportioning braking system has been removed and replaced with an SF system, HD clutch springs and Kibble & White valve springs. While not original, I think these are all good "up grades". I've kept the originals and if I ever sell it, the bike could be returned to stock.

I'm afraid stock was never meant to last 30 years. A price point motorcycle always leaves room for upgrades. Not to mention the technological improvements over 30 years. I've modified mine as well. It just looks stock.
