    XS1100F seat

    Hi, Red, I had one of those seats an my FS, and it was not very comfy. This seat is NOT one of those. Thanx for the info

      I have a seat just like that on my H, and I believe it is indeed a Day-Long Touring Saddle. I haven't checked yet to see who can help me restore it or the cost involved (mine is in even worse shape than yours), but I am very interested in any info you can find. Even though mine is rough, I have found it very comfortable and would like to keep the design. I have used other double-bucket aftermarket seats and haven't found one yet that I like (even though SWMBO loved them all...but she understood the long-term ramifications of sqashed manhood against the tank over a few hundred miles).

        xs1100F seat??

        I agree, Bikerhawk, I have not really ridden this bike yet, I just got it three weeks ago. I had JCW double bucket kit on my special,
        but could not wait till it wore out. The pass part was nice, but the driver's part was HELL on the manhood, kept sliding forward, but the levis did not. Talk about misery!! Broke several watchbands and lost watches trying to adjust myself. Now I have a recovered 81 mid spec seat on the spec. When I first sat on the F, the first thing I noticed was the xseptional comfort of the seat. If I can't find a cover for it, I will make one. My SWMBO is still in the Philippines, or I would have her make one, but I think I can do a proper job of it. I will keep you posted on my progress. Thanx for responding, Rover

          Hey Rover there are a couple of seats that look the same on ebay under (xs1100) right now one is starting at 10.00 and no bids . they look to be in real good shape. Thought u might wanna check them out . ...........MITCH

            Thanx for the info, Mitch, however, those are double bucket seats, like JCW has, I had a bad time getting my arse used to that type of seat. But I really appreciate your looking out for my interests. Anything I can do for you, just holler

              there is a seat on ebay at the moment looks in good condition,looks like it is of an e,f,g,h model xs
