1979 XS1100SF "Old Man" bought by my Dad brand new in 79, customized in 80 with Vetter, Standard tank, and touring seat. I inherited in 02 when Dad passed. Been riding it since 09. No resto, bike is a survivor...

I am not sure which way gets my vote but the easier to be seen the better. Nothing bugs me more than these guys who think a set of bullet lights or such is so cool cause you can't hardly see them....DUH!!!!!.2-79 XS1100 SF

Check out aquarium LEDs on eBay. I fitted a couple of strips of the red LEDs to the back of my luggage rack. They are 12V LEDs so it's simple to connect into the brake light wire.
The LEDs are mounted inside strips of clear rubber so can fit to any shape mounting. They are wired such that you can cut them to length and (of course) they're waterproof.Brian
