  • Got my brake pads today...

So my Pads for "old man" showed up today... all ebc in ebc packages. Right part numbers. BUT......

The front right and rear have silver backing plates.... and the front left is black
Thanks FLEA-BAY seller. Now I gotta get the engine enamel out and make the other front one black so they dont look miss matched!

I'm not gonna paint the rear. But you have silver on one side and black on the other. It's gonna be noticeable. With that said.... I'll see it.

When riding, honestly, you will know it, but not see it really. But, I have been known to get out of bed at 2 AM and spend a few hours fixing something no one else would ever know was wrong, never to be seen by human eyes again, but I KNEW it was wrong, and so it HAD to be fixed.

Hehe Allright, they need multiple coats then and that will take all day. Just make sure you paint the correct sides.

lmao... ya its 40 outside it will take 2 beers between coats. and ya 6 coats on the face of the pad would make some nasty smells first time they grab the rotors! but as the guys who paint their calipers in place will tell ya when they overspray the rotors "it'll burn off"
