  • Spica restore part 3

Well she's starting to look live a motorcycle again. Rear brake is working, still have to tune the linkage once it's off the jack. Harness is in up to the yoke. coils checked out but the caps failed so I replaced them with some new NGKs I had upstairs, coils installed. Intake manifolds installed, oil pipe installed.

Next will be to reassemble the airbox, and move to the front end. Really not much left to do. Front wheel has new rubber, new bearings and seals, carbs are clean and ready to go, new cables are ready, speedo mech has been cleaned and packed. I want to take the forks apart still and check the spring length and put in a spacer if required and I want to check on the condition of the bushings on the bottom of the uppers. New fluid etc. Instrument clusters have been a part ,cleaned and greased. Steering races have been cleaned, beariings cleaned and greased. Original exhausts have been beaded and ceramic coated. Shouldn't be long now, as long as my back holds up.

Very nice job. It looks like it is still in the factory coming down the line. I'm sure you'll be a proud puppy when she fires up.
