In the lower right of each post, you'll find a button that says "quote".
Click that one if you simply want to quote that post...

If you want to quote several posts in your response, click on the button next to it that has the "+ for each post you would like to quote within that thread.

    Hope that helps.

The main thing to remember is that while you are typing your response, yo must retain the open- and close-quote things on either end of the text you are quoting. For example, at the end of your text above, it shows
, while at the beginning, it shows
. I put them in reverse order here so it wouldn't create a new quote out of it

You can quote anything that way, just by adding
at the beginning and the same close-quote thing at the end.

I could never figure out how to strike a word, I know it's forum function is turned off but there's got to be a clever way around it.

Dunno about that one. Have you experimented with it at all?

            [strike]Just on the off chance...[/strike]

Yes, I have. You can't even copy and paste a stricken word for some reason.

Honestly I don't know enough about it to be able to figure out a workaround. I fix cars for a living, not computers. (although they're getting to be one and the same.....)
