    Hi Don,
my XS11 came with chrome-clad grips but with diamond shapes rather than rectangles of rubber sticking through the chrome.
Fearing that my bike may be mistaken for a Harley-Davidson with grips like that,
I clipped off the chrome over-wrap with my sidecutters.
Now they are comfortable AND they look good.

Fred, If any one ever mistakens my XS11 for a Harley-Davidson, I promise to consider changing the grips. I am sure that will be the ONLY similarity.

Whatever grip you decide to go with, make sure you have a throttle lock devise. IMO having a throttle locking device is more important then the grip type.

Just wanted to say, the larger the diameter of the grip the easier it is on the forearm on long runs.

The throttle lock is nice for when you need to rest your arm but is inherently dangerous to leave it locked. Kinda like cruise control on ice.

                    Just sayin'.

I have a throttle lock.... its the greatest thing in the world when you go 400 or 500 miles in a day and only stop when the bike needs gas. I went with these grips. A Forum Brother said he had a set laying around looking for a bike to be attached to. Thanks Again OEM4ME

They look just like the grips I've got on there missing the lever on the throttle side. So they'll feel familiar... mine are just wore out

THIS is what I have on both bikes and I find them quite comfortable on long rides. I keep control of the throttle most all the time and I find it really easy to keep the throttle where it needs to be and adjust as necessary with minimum grip force.

                          And they look good too.

Ya there's been a set of these on "old man" for as long as I can remember... (and I'm too young to start forgetting things yet) So replacing with like product will look like nothing happened...
