Progressive springs are better than modern medicine

My only comfort in these cold Danish winther days, is recalling my last month of driving my XS.
As you might recall my front brake rotors were too thin and I had to replace them, so I did. But I also replaced the original springs with new harder progressive springs from "Wirth". I don't have a fork brace, but I don't need one now. Prior to installing the new springs I had wobbling when braking hard or driving fast over bumps in a curve, but now everything is just perfect, can't wait to this summer were my pal and I are gonna ride to France and see the 24 hour Le Mans.

I would still investigate a fork brace. I put new springs in my '82 XJ (from Progressive) which made a huge difference over the stockers, but still felt an improvement when adding the brace.

You'll never unnerstan', until you ride one of these XS's with a
forkbrace.........>> ; the forktubes are too puny to handle this motorcycle . 37mm . Just about large enough to handle a Harley Hummer. AND, Standards and Specials use different forkbraces; TKat makes both > same $ .
