How does one go about putting a picture under their screen name. And also adding pictures to a post.

Go to your UserCp control panel tab, listed among the tabs on the top of your screen, then to Edit Options, then scroll down to bottom, AVATAR. The image has to be 65 pixels x 65 pixels or smaller, or smaller than 20,000 bytes, whichever is the smallest. As you have seen, it can be a JPG, Or even an animated GIF! Then you can click on the Change Avatar, and upload your picture and save/submit changes!!

For posting pictures in messages, you need a web site that allows linking to them, the FORUM doesn't store photos on it, so you use the IMG button in the Compose message window, and supply the HTTP:// link that allows the message to link to the photo stored elsewhere and show it! If you have some personal web space with your ISP, you can use that. Others use places like ImageStation. HTH.

I must be dumb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't get it to work Topcat, first of all I took a picture about 3''x3'' put it on my scanner and reduced it to about 1''x1'' saved it to my pictures then tried to up load it and it told me it was to big. I tried this two or three times still no luck. What do you mean by 65x65 pixels, I don't know how to measure that. Any help whould be appreciated.

Topcat, you told me I couldn't post a picture, but i see Hobbit was able too. What gives, or did I misunderstand what you were saying.

I did exactly like TopCat said. The image is stored on Imagestation and I just added the link. If you do a search on posting pictures, there is some good information that will help.
